What HMP Nottingham is
HMP Nottingham is a Category B local for adult men. Ranby (Retford) is the large Category C people move to later. Do not book Ranby on a Sherwood rumour.
Locating someone at HMP Nottingham
HMP Nottingham does not publish a landing list. Use GOV.UK Find a prisoner with name and date of birth. HMPPS only confirms the prison if the person consents. If they were in court today, wait until the next working day before you decide the form is wrong.
Visiting HMP Nottingham
Book HMP Nottingham through the national prison-visits service and the official GOV.UK page. You must already be on the visitor list. Session times change; we only reprint a timetable when we have fetched it from that page.
Getting to Nottingham
Nottingham station, then a bus towards Sherwood / Perry Road. It is north of the centre. Trams help; still leave a margin.
