Osijek-Baranja County: how this area actually works

In Osijek-Baranja County, Đakovo is the town south of Osijek, toward the motorway. Beli Manastir is easy to misread from a distance. Locally it is the centre of Baranja. The administrative centre is Osijek. That city is where regional offices cluster; it is not automatically where a sentenced or remanded person is held.

Rural approaches to institutions are often poorly labelled for visitors who only followed a motorway sign into Osijek. Hungary and Serbia are neighbours. Neither service runs a Croatian posjet.
