What HMP Askham Grange is
HMP Askham Grange holds women suitable for open conditions. New Hall at Flockton is closed; Styal is the north-west women’s closed name.
Temporary licence and town access are part of open life; your social visit still runs through GOV.UK prison visits.
Locating someone at HMP Askham Grange
HMP Askham Grange does not publish a landing list. Use GOV.UK Find a prisoner with name and date of birth. HMPPS only confirms the prison if the person consents. If they were in court today, wait until the next working day before you decide the form is wrong.
Visiting HMP Askham Grange
Book HMP Askham Grange through the national prison-visits service and the official GOV.UK page. You must already be on the visitor list. Session times change; we only reprint a timetable when we have fetched it from that page.
Getting to York
York station, then a bus or taxi towards Askham Richard / Tadcaster Road. It is a rural gate, not within York walls.
