What HMP/YOI New Hall is
HMP/YOI New Hall holds women and has a YOI function. Askham Grange (open, women) is a different Yorkshire house. Styal is the other big north-west women’s name.
Child-centred visits exist in the women’s estate; they are still booked. Read GOV.UK before you bring a child.
Locating someone at HMP/YOI New Hall
HMP/YOI New Hall does not publish a landing list. Use GOV.UK Find a prisoner with name and date of birth. HMPPS only confirms the prison if the person consents. If they were in court today, wait until the next working day before you decide the form is wrong.
Visiting HMP/YOI New Hall
Book HMP/YOI New Hall through the national prison-visits service and the official GOV.UK page. You must already be on the visitor list. Session times change; we only reprint a timetable when we have fetched it from that page.
Getting to Wakefield
Wakefield or Huddersfield, then a bus/taxi towards Flockton / Dial Wood. It is a village site. Do not walk it from Wakefield Westgate with bags.
