What HMP Elmley is
HMP Elmley holds adult men as part of the Sheppey cluster. Each establishment keeps its own visits booking.
Kent remand also flows to Maidstone and Rochester; Sheppey is its own day trip from the M2 bridge.
Locating someone at HMP Elmley
HMP Elmley does not publish a landing list. Use GOV.UK Find a prisoner with name and date of birth. HMPPS only confirms the prison if the person consents. If they were in court today, wait until the next working day before you decide the form is wrong.
Visiting HMP Elmley
Book HMP Elmley through the national prison-visits service and the official GOV.UK page. You must already be on the visitor list. Session times change; we only reprint a timetable when we have fetched it from that page.
Getting to Sheerness
Sittingbourne, then the Sheppey bridge and a bus or taxi to Eastchurch. Allow time for bridge traffic.
