What HMP Preston is
HMP Preston holds adult men as a local. Manchester and Liverpool are the other north-west city locals on transfer lists.
Match PR1 on your letter; Wymott is out at Ulnes Walton, not in Preston centre.
Locating someone at HMP Preston
HMP Preston does not publish a landing list. Use GOV.UK Find a prisoner with name and date of birth. HMPPS only confirms the prison if the person consents. If they were in court today, wait until the next working day before you decide the form is wrong.
Visiting HMP Preston
Book HMP Preston through the national prison-visits service and the official GOV.UK page. You must already be on the visitor list. Session times change; we only reprint a timetable when we have fetched it from that page.
Getting to Preston
Preston station, then a bus along Ribbleton Lane or a short taxi.
