What HMP Risley is
HMP Risley holds adult men. Manchester and Liverpool locals absorb much remand; Risley is a working trainer/local hybrid in practice.
Altcourse and Forest Bank are north-west contracted names on other motorways.
Locating someone at HMP Risley
HMP Risley does not publish a landing list. Use GOV.UK Find a prisoner with name and date of birth. HMPPS only confirms the prison if the person consents. If they were in court today, wait until the next working day before you decide the form is wrong.
Visiting HMP Risley
Book HMP Risley through the national prison-visits service and the official GOV.UK page. You must already be on the visitor list. Session times change; we only reprint a timetable when we have fetched it from that page.
Getting to Warrington
Warrington Bank Quay or Birchwood, then a bus or taxi to Risley.
