What HMP Styal is
HMP Styal holds women, including remand and sentence. New Hall and Drake Hall are the Yorkshire/Staffordshire women’s trainers.
Mother-and-baby and child visit rules are on GOV.UK; do not assume Scrubs-style local rules.
Locating someone at HMP Styal
HMP Styal does not publish a landing list. Use GOV.UK Find a prisoner with name and date of birth. HMPPS only confirms the prison if the person consents. If they were in court today, wait until the next working day before you decide the form is wrong.
Visiting HMP Styal
Book HMP Styal through the national prison-visits service and the official GOV.UK page. You must already be on the visitor list. Session times change; we only reprint a timetable when we have fetched it from that page.
Getting to Wilmslow
Wilmslow or Manchester Airport station, then a bus or taxi to Styal village.
