Abruzzo’s capital is L’Aquila, inland in the mountains. Pescara, Chieti, and Teramo are the other provincial seats, and the Adriatic coast is not the whole region. DAP runs the istituti. There is no public list of names.

Abruzzo: how this area actually works

L’Aquila is the regional capital, rebuilt after the earthquake and still a difficult place to treat as a quick stop. Pescara is the largest coastal city and the place many families actually land, which is why they assume the gate is on the seafront. Chieti sits on a hill above the coast. Teramo faces the Marche. Police custody is not the colloquio. DAP may keep someone locally or move them toward the Marche or Lazio after classification. giustizia.it will not search a surname. Ask the lawyer which address is current before you book a room on the lungomare. The trabocchi coast is not a gate.

Families fold Abruzzo into Rome or into the Marche because the A24 and the A14 make both look close. A Lazio permission and a Marche permission do not open an Abruzzo gate. Women and young people may be placed outside the province of arrest. This page is not a roll of detenuti. If the papers name Rome, use the Lazio guide. If they name Ancona, use the Marche guide. A Pescara permission does not open L’Aquila. Lawyers use their own route. If the road is closed, only the istituto can move the slot.

Getting around Abruzzo

Pescara has the regional airport and a station on the Adriatic line. L’Aquila is inland, reached by road or by a branch from the Rome side. Trains run toward Ancona and toward Foggia. The istituto is not the port. Use official directions.

Drivers use the A14 along the coast and the A24 and A25 through the mountains toward Rome. A hotel on the Pescara seafront is the wrong base when the gate is in L’Aquila or Chieti. The Gran Sasso and Roccaraso are not the visit. Leave margin for winter closures. Read the municipality twice before you pay, and do not follow a ski map to the gate. Sulmona is not Pescara. Leave the afternoon clear of the beach, and keep the permission with the postcode before evening traffic. Vasto and the trabocchi are not a visiting room. Do not sleep in Rome because the motorway looks easy today. Chieti’s hill and the trabocchi coast are different addresses. Leave a spare hour. Teramo is not Chieti today. Sulmona is farther inland.
