Lazio prisons: Regina Coeli, Rome istituti, and DAP colloqui

Lazio is the region of Rome. Regina Coeli on Via della Lungara is the circondariale families already know. Rebibbia is a different complex. DAP does not publish names.

Lazio: how this area actually works

Rome is both the national capital and the regional capital. Regina Coeli serves the city’s courts as a casa circondariale. Rebibbia, on the eastern side, is not the same gate and not the same bus. Viterbo, Latina, Frosinone, and Rieti are the other provincial capitals, from the Tuscan border to the Pontine plain. A person who leaves a Roman tribunal is not automatically in Regina Coeli by the evening. Police custody is not the colloquio. giustizia.it will not search a surname. Ask the lawyer which istituto is current before you book a hotel in Trastevere. The Vatican is not the gate. This page matches prisons recorded as Lazio.

Families treat “Rome prison” as one address. It is several. A sentenced move can leave the circondariale for a casa di reclusione in the region or beyond. Women and young people may be in a different istituto from the men’s house on the Lungara. This page is not a roll of detenuti. If the papers name San Vittore or Opera, you are going to Lombardy. If they name Poggioreale, you are going to Campania. The Frecciarossa makes those mistakes cheap to start and expensive to finish. Read the region. Getting around Lazio

Termini, Trastevere, and Ostiense serve different sides of the visit. Regina Coeli is on the Trastevere side of the river. Rebibbia has its own metro and bus pattern toward the east. Fiumicino and Ciampino are the airports. The tourist buses to St Peter’s do not stop at the gate.

Drivers face the GRA ring. A hotel in the centro storico is plausible for the Lungara and wrong for Rebibbia or for Latina. Viterbo and Frosinone are separate days. Leave margin for Roman traffic. Read the municipality twice, and do not follow a Vatican tour to Via della Lungara. Rieti is an inland day. Leave a spare hour before you promise the slot. Ostia is not the Lungara, and a Ciampino arrival still needs the GRA. Rieti is not Rome. Read the street twice before you leave Termini, and do not treat Ostia as the Lungara or Tivoli as Rebibbia. Leave time for the GRA today before the ring locks.
