Veneto prisons: Venice and Verona courts, DAP colloqui

Veneto’s capital is Venice, but Verona, Padua, and Vicenza carry as much court business. DAP runs the istituti. Nobody publishes a list of who is inside.

Veneto: how this area actually works

Venice is the regional capital and a difficult place to assume a gate, because the historic centre is islands and the mainland is Mestre. Verona, Padua, Vicenza, Treviso, Belluno, and Rovigo are the other provincial capitals, from the Dolomites to the Po delta. A person arrested near San Marco is not held on a vaporetto. Police custody is not the colloquio. DAP assigns an istituto that may be on the mainland. giustizia.it will not search a surname. Ask the lawyer which address is current before you book a room on the Grand Canal. The Biennale and the arena in Verona are not gates.

Families treat the northeast as one prison because the A4 links Milan, Verona, and Venice. Lombardy’s San Vittore and Opera are a different region. Friuli, to the east, is another. A Veneto permission dies at those borders. Women and young people may be placed outside the province of arrest. This page is not a roll of detenuti. If the papers name a Milan house, take the train west and use the Lombardy guide. Confirm the week you travel. A release to an address in Mestre or Padua ends the prison plan. The regional offices on the Grand Canal will not add your name.

Colloqui require authorisation and identification. This guide copies no orario. Water-bus delays and mainland ring roads fail slots for different reasons. Money and parcels follow DAP rules. If the person moves, start again. Seven provinces do not share a visiting room. Use the municipality on the letter. A postcard of the Rialto will not become an entrance, and a hotel in a sestiere is useless when the istituto is in Mestre, Verona, or Padua. Vicenza and Treviso do not share that room. Venice, Verona, and Padua are different journeys. The historic centre is not the default gate. Match the papers.

Follow giustizia.it for the named istituto. Bring identification. This page lists no hours.

A Venice permission does not open a Verona gate. Lawyers have their own route. If DAP moves the person, rebook before you buy another vaporetto pass.

Getting around Veneto

Venezia Santa Lucia is the island station. Mestre is the mainland hub. Verona Porta Nuova and Padova are on the Milan–Venice line. Treviso and Venice airports serve the region. The istituto is not Piazza San Marco. Use official directions.

Drivers use the A4. A hotel on the Grand Canal is the wrong base when the gate is in Mestre or Verona. Belluno is a mountain day. Rovigo is on the delta. Leave margin for bridges and summer crowds. Read the municipality twice before you pay, and do not follow a carnival map to the gate. Chioggia and the Lido are not Verona. A hotel in Cortina fails when the papers name Padua. Leave the afternoon clear of the islands, and read the province twice before you pay today. Bassano and the Prosecco hills are not the gate. Do not sleep on the Grand Canal because the photograph looks close. Keep the permission with the postcode, and leave a spare hour at Mestre before the evening crowd. Rovigo is on the delta, not in Venice.
